Who should attend book group expo

If you love reading, if you are a part of a book group, if you have ever thought about joining a book group, or if you have considered starting a book group, you should attend book group expo.

Would you like to meet some of your favorite authors up close and personal? Learn about new books before everyone else? Be able to buy dozens of books all in one place? Listen to literature professors, editors, and authors talk about sub-text and plot and offer guidance on reading the classics? Maybe learn how to keep your reading group vital?

Are you interested in meeting other book lovers? Or just spending a great day with friends? Maybe eat good chocolate? Taste some desserts? Learn about special travel and adventures? Try some new wines or organic brews?

Are you teacher? A librarian? A student? So long as you love books—and more importantly, you love reading—then this is one experience you will not want to miss.

If any of this sounds intriguing and maybe even inviting, then you should come to book group expo. Join our "stay connected" community so we can keep you posted on future book group expo supported activities and events. Because when it is time for book group expo, you will want to join us. Treat your self. Bring your book group. Bring your neighbor. Join us at book group expo!

"It was wonderful to meet so many authors and be a part of the energy surrounding this event. Huge kudos to you all around for all of the vision, hard work and phenomenal success. You did an amazing job with an amazing event. Thanks for inviting me to be a part of it."

Appear

The first-ever book group expo is now history – and so is Chapter Two! But we are already planning for October 2008. For participation in future events, please contact us. We ask authors (or publishers and publicists) to please forward two copies of the title for consideration to:

Ann Kent, founder
Book group expo
849 Almar Avenue, Suite 175
Santa Cruz, CA 95060

The book group expo audience is specific to book clubs and reading groups, so our selections are focused on those discussible titles that might be read in a book group setting. Our selection process is part art, part science and very much a commitment to exceeding the expectations of our book group expo attendees.

Volunteer

Book groups and reading groups are about community and being a part of something—and so is book group expo. The 2006 experience could not have happened without the support of dozens and dozens of volunteers—both before, and during, the two day event. If you or your organization is interested in volunteering your time and skills to book group expo, let us know. Contact us at connect@bookgroupexpo.com and include VOLUNTEER in the subject line.

"Just want to thank you for coming up with such a great idea and following through with this event! (We let) everyone at RH know—and anyone around who will listen—what a great event this was and will continue to be."
